I’m Jena, the heart and hands behind Styling with Jena. My journey with hair and makeup started as a young girl with a curiosity for beauty tools and techniques. I’ll never forget how it all began—experimenting with curling irons from Target and later perfecting my skills with a curling wand gifted by my mom. It wasn’t long before I became the go-to stylist for friends’ special moments, from dance recitals to homecoming dances and first dates.

Styling hair quickly became more than a hobby; it became my creative outlet—a space where I felt free to express myself while helping others shine. My passion for makeup grew alongside my hairstyling skills, and I now offer both traditional and airbrush options, complete with complimentary lashes and high-end professional products. My goal is to provide a long-lasting, flawless finish that keeps you looking your best throughout the day—whether it’s for a wedding, photoshoot, or any special occasion.

As the eldest daughter of immigrant parents, I initially put my passion on hold to focus on education and building a corporate career. It wasn’t until 2020, during the pandemic, that I decided to take a leap of faith. I created @stylingwithjena, my business Instagram, and began sharing my work to attract clients. That leap turned into something incredible. By 2022, I had the honor of styling for 90 events, including weddings, bridal designer photoshoots, and brand campaigns.

2022 was an unforgettable year in more ways than one. I wasn’t just building my business; I was also planning my own wedding while working full-time as a senior Business Process Analyst. Between balancing two to three weddings or events in a single weekend, traveling between New Zealand and the US, and navigating a long-distance relationship with my now-husband, I experienced both growth and gratitude like never before.

Now, as I move forward, I’m more inspired than ever to continue creating timeless, personalized bridal hair and makeup looks that empower every bride to feel special and uniquely herself. Every client I work with holds a special place in my journey, and I feel so honored to be part of such cherished moments.
